Post-BiCon comedown
Sep. 3rd, 2004 03:03 pmIt was great to have a couple of extra days in BiCon-atmosphere on site. Normally I tend to get a big post-bicon-depression but this is a nice remedy. Although I would have liked to say more proper goodbyes to lots of people.
Maybe I'll someday start to believe that at least some people are actually attracted to me. Some evidence is collecting, and perhaps my mind is starting (slowly) to believe it. In other words, I had a really good time at BiCon! Thanks to the organisers and all who were present!
There was a bit of a shock when I came home and found all kinds of stuff in my mailbox that will keep me busy for some time; the nice slow comedown could not continue :-( It looks like even my weekend will be full with activities already, so full in fact that I cannot do everything I intended to do.
I've lj-friended a lot of people thanks to bicon - now I will have to keep the association between the faces and the names of course. Not an easy task for me. When I meet all of you next year (as I would hope) it would look very silly if we'd have to introduce ourselves all over again...

Date: 2004-09-03 01:14 pm (UTC)That user-icon that you're using here, is that a close-up of your head, or some kind of leopard-pattern? Or something else I haven't been able to imagine yet?

Date: 2004-09-03 04:57 pm (UTC)Hi
Date: 2004-09-04 09:12 am (UTC)I tried to email you but apparently your address "had permanent fatal errors". Any ideas?
This lj is very new so I have no pictures yet, sorry.:)
Re: Hi
Date: 2004-09-04 09:35 am (UTC)As for the errors, the only think I can imagine is if your ISP is listed in one of a few blacklists that I use as a first line of defense against spam. (Recently I calculated that I get 160 spams per day that get past that first line, so you can imagine I am rather militant against spam). Can you give me the exact time of of your mail and the error, and a bit more context (preferably the whole error message), so that I can have a look here if I can see what happened.
But as I see the problem has been found already I'll just erase the further fault-finding hints and leave it at that :-)

Date: 2004-09-07 03:28 am (UTC)and as to my fur, please use your imagination ot its full *smile*
the user icon is actually fake/synthetic ocelot fur which i have adopted as my own in my incarnation as an oscillatalot, the combination of both my feline and dithering/ambiguous tendancies *smile*
