My sweetie T. just phoned. She had seen my new livejournal and she was so impressed with the colours and the cat icons, I was blushing from the compliments she was giving. And she liked being called T. :-) Maybe she will be starting her own lj too - if she has the time. She predicted that most of her entries would be rather minimalist and read "I'm sleepy", or "I'm so sleepy" or "I'm sosososososososo sleepy"... :-)

I'm reading Irvine Welsh's "Porno" now - the sequel to Trainspotting.

Listening to Placebo I am reminded again that I very purposefully did not buy their latest album because it was put on a non-cd, or an unplayable round plastic disk that seems to be a cd but isn't. I'm not going to spend money on some fake cd that I can't play in my cdrom-player because it is deliberately broken. And yes whenever I see it in the shop I make it a point to tell the salesperson I am not buying it.

Now it is really time to go to sleep...

Drills....

This morning there was an idiot again who thought they could use an ordinary drill to make a hole in the concrete walls of my flat building. Of course they did that an hour and a half before my alarm was going off, at a time I desperately want to sleep. These modern buildings are very noisy in this way and it is impossible to determine where the perpetrator actually is. Of course the first reaction is to want to jump out of bed and kill the bastard, but of course what you really want is sleep. And you plug your ears and think "in 5 seconds they will realise their work is useless without a proper power drill and they will stop". And after some more time you think "their drill is going to burn out just about now". Of course it keeps going on for an hour anyway.

Why are there always these people who don't get it that they are causing a lot of grief while at the same time they don't even attain their goal (such as a hole in the wall)? If they had only used a proper drill they would be finished in about ten seconds and everybody would be much, much happier...

I know from experience, I had to drill holes in my wall too.
