Drills....

This morning there was an idiot again who thought they could use an ordinary drill to make a hole in the concrete walls of my flat building. Of course they did that an hour and a half before my alarm was going off, at a time I desperately want to sleep. These modern buildings are very noisy in this way and it is impossible to determine where the perpetrator actually is. Of course the first reaction is to want to jump out of bed and kill the bastard, but of course what you really want is sleep. And you plug your ears and think "in 5 seconds they will realise their work is useless without a proper power drill and they will stop". And after some more time you think "their drill is going to burn out just about now". Of course it keeps going on for an hour anyway.

Why are there always these people who don't get it that they are causing a lot of grief while at the same time they don't even attain their goal (such as a hole in the wall)? If they had only used a proper drill they would be finished in about ten seconds and everybody would be much, much happier...

I know from experience, I had to drill holes in my wall too.

the word they are looking for is hammer drill - they must knackered a really good drill (or not found the hammer setting) - to do that to a drill for an hour

btw olaf thanks for doing LJ I can now find out whats happening in your life on a day to day basis - which is wonderful. Rather than just having the odd conversation at parties and bicons
*hugs*
