Wrong Turn
Sep. 10th, 2003 12:57 amThis evening I went to the cinema with a friend, P. We saw Wrong Turn. Why? Mainly because Eliza Dushku (Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer) plays in it. It is a horror movie with a hint of romance thrown in, but not so much as I feared at one point. I hate it when they try to put in some superfluous romance (or even sex) in a movie, purely to attract a bigger audience. Either it is properly part of of the story, or it isn't and then it should be left out. But this is mostly a typical horror story, with people in some deserted area, under threat of something scary.
A good horror movie does not show the scary thing. It does not even show much gore. It works on your imagination instead. This film unfortunately fails these criteria.
And it doesn't even show Eliza too much.
