Booked for the CCCCamp
Jul. 12th, 2007 11:55 pmNot only am I going to BiCon in august, I'm also going to the Chaos Communication Club summer Camp. At least, I just booked a direct train ticket from Nijmegen to the nearest train station, Eberswalde Hbf.
As usual with international train journeys, the german train planner was much more useful in the planning than the dutch one. The promised "fixed cheap price" to Berlin was for instance impossible to actually book there. On the other hand, the german site knows apparently all european trains and allows booking any ticket, and even had a 50% discount rate which probably matches the "fixed cheap price" plus the necessary extra tickets to get to and from the limited available cheap fixed stations. And such extra tickets are difficult to obtain if you're in a direct train to the destination and the "fixed cheap" ticket ends somewhere almost but not quite at the end of the journey...
