Thanks for the offer Kate - maybe I'll be ready to talk to people tomorrow. Right now I am trying to decide (within the next 15 minutes) whether I'll take the train and go to a party in Amsterdam. I don't feel very much in a party-mood, but being alone has its drawbacks too... (and no, I estimate the chance to "get lucky" at the party (as a sort of comfort) at approximately zero - expectations like that in the past have backfired several times...)
