Feb. 7th, 2004 01:06 amTonight I played some pinball again for the first time in several years. At least I have never put a new Euro coin in one... The old reflexes were still there, mostly. Not that I used to be extremely good, but at least a bit better than average, I think. When I played pinball with my friends we always took (and still take, as I found out) it pretty seriously. No stupid things like pushing the machine when somebody is playing, or putting drinks on it, or distracting them in other ways.
It is such a shame that they are getting rarer and rarer. First they were typically replaced by gambling machines, because they earn more money for the proprietor, and are a lot easier in maintenance. Then when the gambling machines were regulated more strictly, the open spots were left empty or replaced with electronic games machines. Such a shame...
