First swimming day

rhialtoToday was the memorable first time of the year that it was a) hot and b) a free day - at the same time. So I took my bicycle and cycled the usual 45 minutes to my favourite nude beach. That is after I managed to rip myself free from the computer and had decided to postpone the groceries until tomorrow :-)
Every time I go to the Wylermeer for the first time in a year, they manage to change something. Usually not for the better. One year they put in strange fences, another they planted a hedge around the nudist area. This year however they had outdone themselves. They closed off my entrance into the park! And not only is it the entrance that I or the other people for the nudist beach use, but also for the large field (with bike clamps) opposite. The people who live nearby across the street also use it a lot.
The only way in now was through some small gate where you couldn't take your bike (or wheelchair for that matter). There was also a small new sign: "forbidden to take along bikes by hand". From that I gathered that if you somehow managed to get your bike over the gate, you had to stay on it (at least as long as you are moving).
Of course, when I talked about this with a few people inside, they were all dismayed with this change. One of them had even talked to the people who apparently oversee the park, and they told him that the change was made in consultation with the municipality and the police (because of cars that park where they shouldn't). However this was a blatant lie and my informer knew about that because he had spoken already with the municipality himself...
So I'm curious how this is going to develop itself. It is clear that people don't plan to leave it at this.
