Lots of cycling

The weather is still so fantastic! Yesterday I decided to go for a swim at my favorite nude beach[1]. Unfortunately there was a paper posted that announced that the water was closed for swimming, due to "blauwalg" (blue algae). Nevertheless I stayed sunning for a while.
Today it was supposed to be slightly less warm so I thought it a good day to cycle uphill and downhill to the Aldi in Kranenburg[1], to replenish my supply of cheap rum (they had increased the price by € 0,30!), peppermint tea and peppermint chocolates. The also had pastis on offer so I bought a bottle of that too. The dvds I got there last time were not the same underlying brand as before, I had not used them up yet, and they didn't have them in stock anyway. On the way back I cheated a bit by not going uphill all the way to Berg en Dal again; I went around the mountain via Beek.
Then I phoned "political café" De Klinker[1], in the (former) squat De Grote Broek, to make a reservation for their vegan food this night.

Sounds like a marvellous day. It looks like you can almsot swim to Germany.

Unfortunately one has to wear a swimming costume, but it is ok to sunbathe topless. I think I'll go for a swim today :-)

Almost, yes.. there is not really a connection by water from the lake itself, I think. In theory one could jump into the water on the German side, but for some reason nobody does that; maybe because the shore isn't so swimming-friendly. There is some fishing though.
