I don't see SIRDS either (the random dot stereograms. if those are what you mean), somebody gave me a whole book of those but I had to give it back in frustration. I looked at some non-random dot stereo things and they worked a bit but made my eyes hurt. These things are supposed to (seem to) rotate when they are a bit in the periphery of your vision but they stop when you look at them, and then some others start. It drives me crazy! The website has a lot more of this sort of illusion (and several other kinds) but this is the strongest one (of this kind; for me anyway).
These "motion" optical illusions never seem to work on me. However, I am usually suckered by the tones of colours ones.
I wonder if it is related to (a) I have really shite colour vision and (b) my visual acuity is far superior to the average (I can read the bottom line on the test charts).
