Last weekend it was the first time of the year that it was warm enough to swim on a day I actually had time for it. So I went. Usually "they" change some things around the lake while I'm not looking, but this time there wasn't much changed. Mainly some disrepair: the wooden stairs that had been made several years ago to get into the water at one particular location had now broken one step.
The water wasn't cold, at least compared of the Atlantic Ocean water that I had been into already, so I went in quite often. There was lots of flowery tree-stuff floating in the water, which might have put off some people. Later in the afternoon it had drifted away.

This weekend it wasn't such nice weather any more, but at least it was dry. So I took the opportunity to cycle to Kranenburg. I came back with loot: 3 bottles of rum, 10 boxes of peppermint tea bags, and 2 boxes of Aldi-versions of After Eights.

Tonight I went eating in De Klinker, and stayed afterwards with a strange conversation with some people about beliefs, gurus, religions and philosophies. Mainly, one person was trying the other to stay away from people who claimed to have "The Truth". The other was changing the topic all the time due to the associations she made with what was said. I was listening with awe, and just put in a word now and then. Over the evening it got colder and colder, and cycling back at midnight I was really shivering.

Now I'm scientifically testing the theory that rum gives one less of a headache than wine.

My experimental results are that generally, the more expensive the wine, the less likely it is to give me any headache at all. However, too much rum gives me a stomach ache.

*hugs*
