Sad cat news

On sunday evening we were ready to have our Lotta put to sleep, but then during the monday she seemed to show some signs of improvement. But it got a lot worse during the night to today, and it was clear that we had to do the brutal thing and take her to the vet, no matter how scary that would be for her. That she didn't even hardly struggle against being put in the carrier was one of the bad signs.
We are just back from the vet. He diagnosed Lotta as likely having both kindney and pancreas trouble. Apparently kidney-food (which she loved! but it made her vomit) is bad for the pancreas...
She was clearly suffering, and hardly responsive (normally she would have run away from the doctor's table), and we made the hard (for us) decision to have her put to sleep.
She's resting softly now...

That was so sad too, the first time we could pet him was when he was on his death bed (because he already had kidney problems before we came to us) and we tried to comfort him.
