I cut down Greenie
Jan. 28th, 2004 01:01 amThis weekend, I cut down Greenie. That was the plant (a Clematis) that T. gave to me a year and a half ago when we visited the Floriade together, and which mysteriously transformed itself from completely dead-looking to being taller than me, and thereby even survived my complete lack of green fingers. This act may sound more radical than it is, because she really needed to be pruned during the winter, anyway. But there really was a lot of symbolism in tearing down nearly the complete, brown dried out thing, crushing it and putting it in the organic waste container. Greenie was a sort of symbol of our love - T. had given her her name. I have been considering to just throw the whole pot of earth over the edge of the balcony. That, however, would definitely be lethal for anybody standing below.
Anyway, on a more positive note, I visited the Queeruption benefit party in Amsterdam, and that was a lot of fun.

Closure

How radical...
But a good action I guess.
Will it help closure from the T-time?
(no pun intended). The Queeruption benefit weekend was great fun (something for Kate) and so was the discussion on avian ping carriers (I had a few posts about it on my blog http://joliesworld.blogspot.com ).
